Discover the rich and vibrant story of the Hicks family —a journey spanning centuries, continents, and generations. Our Hicks family roots trace back to Great Britain, where John Hicks from Marshfield, Gloucestershire, England, set sail in pursuit of new opportunities. In or around 1770, he and his family arrived in the American colonies, settling in Virginia and becoming part of the foundation of a burgeoning nation.
As the years passed, the Hicks family embraced the spirit of adventure, migrating westward. From the fertile lands of Ohio to the rugged frontier of Kansas, our family played its part in shaping the American story. Eventually, the journey led to Idaho, where Robert and Annie Hicks became deeply intertwined with the history and culture of the Gem State, when they settled on The Big Camas Prairie in 1882.
This website is dedicated to preserving and sharing our family’s legacy—honoring the resilience, courage, and character that define our heritage.
